Quand on entend ce mot, on imagine qu&#x27;un enfant atteint du syndrome de Kleefstra ne peut pas bien lever le bras, qu&#x27;il est un peu faible, voire qu&#x27;il se vo\u00fbte l\u00e9g\u00e8rement. Mais l\u2019atonie se manifeste partout. Dans le muscle cardiaque, dans le diaphragme, dans les poumons. Partout. C\u2019est cette caract\u00e9ristique qui nous a conduits \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une simple infection respiratoire, puis en soins intensifs dans les 48 heures qui ont suivi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je ne sais pas comment on en est arriv\u00e9s l\u00e0. Mais tout s&#x27;est pass\u00e9 tr\u00e8s vite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le matin du mercredi 30 mars, ma s\u0153ur remarque que la petite a la voix un peu enrou\u00e9e. \u00c0 midi, elle l&#x27;emm\u00e8ne chez le p\u00e9diatre et constate quelques s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions, mais rien d&#x27;inqui\u00e9tant. Le soir, comme si elle sentait que quelque chose n\u2019allait pas, elle l\u2019emm\u00e8ne chez la p\u00e9diatre qui constate elle aussi que la petite a quelques s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions en haut de la gorge, mais qui ne sont pas inqui\u00e9tantes, car l\u2019enfant peut tousser et les expulser. Cependant, en l&#x27;espace d&#x27;une heure, sa temp\u00e9rature grimpe \u00e0 39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous avons commenc\u00e9 un traitement antibiotique et administr\u00e9 des antipyr\u00e9tiques ; toute la journ\u00e9e de jeudi, la petite a utilis\u00e9 des masques d&#x27;inhalation jusqu&#x27;\u00e0 jeudi soir, o\u00f9, souffrant d&#x27;une forte d\u00e9tresse respiratoire et d&#x27;une tachypn\u00e9e importante, nous l&#x27;avons admise \u00e0 l&#x27;h\u00f4pital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vendredi, elle a suivi le traitement et samedi, les m\u00e9decins ont constat\u00e9, lors d\u2019une nouvelle radiographie qu\u2019ils lui ont faite, que l\u2019infection s\u2019\u00e9tait propag\u00e9e aux poumons et qu\u2019elle souffrait d\u00e9sormais d\u2019une pneumonie, qui plus est \u00e9tendue. La petite n&#x27;avait pas la force de tousser et il fallait lui faire des aspirations pour \u00e9vacuer les s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais tout s&#x27;est pass\u00e9 tr\u00e8s vite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En l&#x27;espace de 2 \u00e0 3 heures, la saturation en oxyg\u00e8ne avait fortement chut\u00e9, la tachypn\u00e9e persistait et un premier \u0153d\u00e8me pulmonaire est apparu. Ce \u0153d\u00e8me pulmonaire a entra\u00een\u00e9 un choc cardiog\u00e9nique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#x27;enfant devait \u00eatre admis d&#x27;urgence en soins intensifs et intub\u00e9. Mais l&#x27;unit\u00e9 ne comptait que 8 lits, et ils \u00e9taient tous occup\u00e9s. Il n\u2019y avait de lit libre qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital p\u00e9diatrique d\u2019Ath\u00e8nes et dans un h\u00f4pital d\u2019H\u00e9raklion, mais l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 de la petite fille ne permettait pas de la transf\u00e9rer dans une autre ville.\u00a0 \u00ab Elle ne tiendra pas le coup entre le 5e et le 6e \u00e9tage \u00bb, nous disaient les m\u00e9decins. C\u2019est pourquoi ils ont improvis\u00e9 un lit de fortune pour pouvoir proc\u00e9der \u00e0 l\u2019intubation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dimanche 3 avril, aux premi\u00e8res lueurs de l&#x27;aube, nous sommes entr\u00e9s en soins intensifs. Et c&#x27;est \u00e0 partir de ce jour-l\u00e0 qu&#x27;a commenc\u00e9 une r\u00e9action en cha\u00eene de l&#x27;organisme et une s\u00e9rie de complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour ceux qui ne le savent pas, les enfants atteints du syndrome de Kleefstra ont besoin de temps. Ils ont besoin de temps pour imiter, pour apprendre \u00e0 parler et \u00e0 marcher. Ils ont besoin de temps pour vous regarder, pour apprendre \u00e0 vous conna\u00eetre et \u00e0 vous aimer. Ils ont besoin de temps pour r\u00e9agir. Nous aussi, nous avions besoin de temps pour pouvoir combattre l\u2019infection et nous passer du respirateur. Mais quand on se retrouve en soins intensifs, le temps ne joue pas en notre faveur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#x27;\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 de la petite fille s&#x27;\u00e9tait encore aggrav\u00e9 \u00e0 cause d&#x27;un deuxi\u00e8me microbe qu&#x27;elle avait contract\u00e9 dans la chambre d&#x27;h\u00f4pital, avant m\u00eame d&#x27;entrer en soins intensifs. La bact\u00e9ri\u00e9mie et l&#x27;\u0153d\u00e8me pulmonaire ont aggrav\u00e9 son \u00e9tat et du liquide s&#x27;est rapidement accumul\u00e9 autour de ses poumons. Pour drainer ce liquide, on lui a pos\u00e9 quatre drains thoraciques. Les drains thoraciques sont en fait des tubes dont le but est de drainer le liquide et l\u2019air pr\u00e9sents dans le corps. Cependant, les drains devaient \u00eatre retir\u00e9s assez rapidement pour \u00e9viter toute complication. La complication qui s\u2019est produite \u00e9tait un pneumothorax. Son poumon gauche pr\u00e9sentait un petit trou, ce qui avait pour cons\u00e9quence que le respirateur artificiel ventilait les poumons de l\u2019enfant et qu\u2019une partie de l\u2019air s\u2019\u00e9chappait dans tout son corps. Les drains \u00e9vacuaient d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 la fois l\u2019air et le liquide des poumons, qui avait commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019accumuler \u00e9galement dans l\u2019abdomen. On lui a pos\u00e9 un cinqui\u00e8me drain, qui ne semblait pas \u00e9vacuer le liquide abdominal, et tr\u00e8s rapidement, sa saturation en oxyg\u00e8ne a chut\u00e9, provoquant un premier arr\u00eat cardiaque.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous \u00e9tions le dimanche 17 avril et la petite avait perdu connaissance pendant 5 minutes. Les m\u00e9decins ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 la r\u00e9animer, mais ils ne pensaient pas qu\u2019elle tiendrait longtemps. C&#x27;\u00e9tait la deuxi\u00e8me fois qu&#x27;elle recevait des inotropes pour le c\u0153ur, sa tension art\u00e9rielle fluctuait fortement, sa fi\u00e8vre \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9e et sa saturation en oxyg\u00e8ne ne d\u00e9passait pas 60%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deux semaines en soins intensifs, et tout recommen\u00e7ait \u00e0 z\u00e9ro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 la suite de l&#x27;arr\u00eat cardiaque et d&#x27;une nouvelle infection sanguine, ses reins et son foie ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter des dysfonctionnements apr\u00e8s l&#x27;arr\u00eat cardiaque. Ses poumons ne fonctionnaient plus du tout de mani\u00e8re autonome, ils pr\u00e9sentaient de petits trous et des fuites persistaient dans tout son corps. Mais la petite se r\u00e9veillait. La petite avait des poumons qui ne fonctionnaient pas, des reins et un foie affect\u00e9s, mais elle se battait et se r\u00e9veillait, et les m\u00e9decins des soins intensifs se battaient avec elle. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quatre jours apr\u00e8s l&#x27;arr\u00eat cardiaque, elle a d\u00fb \u00eatre plac\u00e9e sous PRISMA, un appareil de soins intensifs qui fait office de rein artificiel et qui correspond en fait \u00e0 une forme de dialyse. La dialyse lui a fait du bien et, le lendemain, sa saturation avait atteint 96-97%. Cependant, son \u00e9tat n\u2019\u00e9tait pas stable et au moindre r\u00e9glage du respirateur, sa saturation variait de mani\u00e8re spectaculaire. Un autre pneumothorax s\u2019est form\u00e9 et la septic\u00e9mie a progress\u00e9 \u00e0 tel point qu\u2019elle pr\u00e9sentait des foyers dans tous ses organes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aux premi\u00e8res lueurs du mardi saint, elle a fait un nouvel arr\u00eat cardiaque et on l&#x27;a r\u00e9anim\u00e9e une nouvelle fois. Pour les m\u00e9decins, c&#x27;\u00e9tait un miracle qu&#x27;elle soit encore en vie malgr\u00e9 tous ces probl\u00e8mes organiques et depuis tant de jours, et nous esp\u00e9rions nous aussi un miracle pour qu&#x27;elle surmonte tout cela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le mercredi saint, ses jambes ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 noircir \u00e0 cause d&#x27;une mauvaise circulation sanguine. Sept jours s&#x27;\u00e9taient \u00e9coul\u00e9s depuis qu&#x27;elle avait commenc\u00e9 la dialyse, et pendant tout ce temps, l&#x27;hypothermie et la mauvaise circulation sanguine n&#x27;avaient pas cess\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Jeudi Saint, apr\u00e8s 25 jours pass\u00e9s en soins intensifs, son cerveau a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre affect\u00e9. La fille qui n&#x27;avait qu&#x27;un \u0153il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 grandir un peu et les m\u00e9decins pensaient que son syst\u00e8me nerveux avait \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vendredi saint. Une journ\u00e9e difficile s&#x27;annon\u00e7ait. L&#x27;association avec la Semaine Sainte \u00e9tait in\u00e9vitable. Le matin, la m\u00e9decin de notre service nous a dit que la petite avait une tension tr\u00e8s basse et peu de contractions. En effet, tout au long de la journ\u00e9e et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 21 h 15, la petite a eu une tension de 1,8 avec 4-4,5 et une fr\u00e9quence cardiaque de 26-35. Qui peut supporter de vivre toute une journ\u00e9e avec une fr\u00e9quence cardiaque aussi basse ?;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Vous savez, les enfants atteints du syndrome de Kleefstra sont de tr\u00e8s beaux enfants. <br>Elles sont souvent blondes, avec de grands yeux bleus. <br>Certaines ressemblent \u00e0 des petits anges.&nbsp; <br>Notre enfant \u00e9tait lui aussi un petit blondinet aux grands yeux bleus.&nbsp; <br>Il est d\u00e9sormais un ange au ciel.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L&#x27;atonie musculaire est l&#x27;une des principales caract\u00e9ristiques de ce syndrome.
