January 10, 2025August 19, 2026 Interview with odialogos.gr on research and Kleefstra syndrome Recently, I had the pleasure of giving interview with odialogos.gr, where I spoke about my research journey, Artificial Intelligence, and electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis, as well as my personal connection to Kleefstra syndrome. In the discussion, I referred to my journey from the Polytechnic to biomedical and medical research, as well as the possibilities offered by the methods Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the study of neurological disorders and the analysis of biomedical signals. My involvement with Kleefstra, however, is not only scientific. It is also deeply personal and was one of the reasons that led me to become more involved in research surrounding EEG, neurological disorders, and rare diseases. Another topic of the interview was “Support the Brains that Stayed” and the need to support not only the scientists who return to Greece, but also those who chose to remain, work, and contribute here.
