Invitation to participate in a sleep study for Kleefstra syndrome

As observed, sleep problems are frequently reported in individuals with Kleefstra syndrome, yet little is known about their sleep quality. The purpose of this new study is to gain a better general overview of sleep quality in the context of Kleefstra syndrome.

Researcher Lara van Renssen, with the support of Dr. Tjitske Kleefstra, are starting a new sleep study in individuals with Kleefstra Syndrome. As part of the research, individuals with Kleefstra syndrome are being sought to participate in a sleep recording study. Anyone over 3 years old with Kleefstra syndrome can participate in this study. Participation is voluntary.

What is required?;

The research team asks that you complete a sleep questionnaire and keep a sleep diary for a period of 2 weeks. Both the questionnaire and the sleep diary will be provided and can be completed by the participant's parent/guardian.

Completing the questionnaire takes about 30-45 minutes. The sleep diary takes only one minute each morning for a period of 2 weeks.
